Born in Oakland, California.

1962 First art study with San Francisco Bay Area painter David Simpson.

1965 Director Paul Mills selects two sculptures for the Oakland Museum permanent collection.

1968 Master of Fine Arts degree, University of Oregon, Eugene.

1970 Visit Buddhist gardens and Shinto Shrine Complex in Ise, Japan.

1972 Studio in Mill Valley, California.  Began “Landscape Puzzle”, twenty year series of paintings.

1973-1976 Studio in Seattle.  Represented by Foster/White Gallery.  Taught at Cornish College of Art.

1977 Studio in Tokyo and one-person show at the Tokyo-American Club, Japan.

1978-1990 Studio in San Diego.  Represented by Mark Quint Gallery, La Jolla.  Resident Artist, Dorland Mountain Colony, Temecula.

1984 Created “City Forest” Installation at Quint Gallery, San Diego.

1988 Awarded First Prize International Art Competition for “Wheat Walk” project (with JB Blunk), University of California Arboretum, Davis.

1989 Instructor, Graduate School of Design and public lectures, “Landscape as a Fulcrum for the Mind”, Harvard University, Cambridge.

1990 Completed series of mono-prints with Tamarind master printer Toby Michel at Angeles Press, Los Angeles, California.

1991-1993 Studio in Inverness.  Appointed Resident Fellow, Humanities Research Institute, University of California, Irvine.

1992 Exhibited landscape sculptures at the Corcoran School of Art Gallery, Washington, D.C.

1993 Awarded Individual Grant for Design Innovation by the National Endowment for the Arts.

1995 Reestablished studio in Berkeley after four years teaching at the University of California at Davis.

1999 Installed “Planet Ring” and “Floating Stone” sculptures at LIMN, Sacramento.

2000 Completed “Moon-Viewing Platform”, Los Altos Hill, California. Opened second studio in Sierras.  Began “Silver Pool” series.

2002 Elected to College of Fellows, American Society of Landscape Architects.

2004 Paintings on paper acquired by the Museum of Northwest Art, La Conner, Washington.

2005 Large canvas “Silicon Sea” installed at the Computer History Museum, Mountain View, California

2006 The Ron Wigginton Collection established at the University of California Environmental Design Archives, Berkeley.

2009 Completed "Silver Pool" series of paintings on aluminum panels.

2010 Parallel group of paintings, "Daughtering Series" finished, "Sonning Series" finished 2011.

2011 Awarded Fellowship, Morris Graves Foundation to expand "Dark Light" series of paintings on paper, Loleta, California.
